Everything makes music...
We definitely got our moneys worth at the Elmo "Everything Makes Music" show a few weeks back. Maddie has done a brilliant job of pointing out and making noise, I mean music, with just about everything we own. As well as showing us that many foods make music when they are being chewed. Hee Hee. Cole's loves this about his big sister, and often gets a close up of her noise. She has also taken out her Alligator piano and plays a concert for us, making sure to curtsey after her performance. Cole makes music of his own...in various forms. :)

Beat the Heat
ok, so today it was 99 degrees, and for those of us here in Seattle...that's dang hot! Most houses here don't have air conditioning (including ours) so it makes for an uncomfortable time when the heat rises. Here is a pic of Cole as he tries to beat the heat in his diaper. His sister Maddie is at the pool for her swim lesson-lucky ducky.

Dog Days of Summer
I couldn't forget to mention some of the other members of our family. Lucy is loving her runs in the warm back yard, and poor Arlo is liking the summertime, but struggling with his health. At 15, he's slowed down quite a bit and struggles with seizures and kidney failure. But he's still getting along, and as always, begging for goodies!
Hot Hot Hot
Well, summer is really upon us. Today and the next few days the temperature is expected to be in the mid to upper 90's! That's hot here, especially since no one has air conditioning! So its out to the deck to fill up Maddie's animal pool. Speaking of pools, Maddie did a great job last night at swim lessons! She put her whole face in the water while swimming! Wahoo! This was a big deal for us, and daddy and Maddie got an ice cream treat to celebrate!

Summer Fun
Hello all... my friend Sherri in Mn convinced me that a blog was a great way to keep everyone updated on our happenings. I hope you enjoy!
July will be a month filled with adventure! Baby boy will be getting baptized, and the family will be coming in from Kansas and Minnesota to help us celebrate. Can you believe that he's 3 1/2 months old already? He's been loving solid foods, and has graduated to level 2 food this past week. So far, no other allergies have popped up! We're keeping our fingers crossed on this one! He's really getting big!
Our little princess has been taking swimming lessons and has worked to "fine tune" those skills at Uncle Kev's apartment pool. She's been a huge help with the baby and loves giving him kisses and hugs. He smiles at her all the time! She's been doing very well at school and will get to move up to the big kids class in Sept. She's very excited about this!
The family went to an Everett Aquasocks minor league baseball game yesterday and had a blast! It was mascot day, so princess LOVED meeting and hugging them. And also loved the fact that many free things were given out - especially her cow t-shirt that says "Milk Rocks" and her Aquasocks bobblehead. We will definitely be going back for another game!
