Apple Pickin
We went to Brion's aunt and uncles in Quincy, Wa for our annual apple picking trip yesterday. We had beautiful weather and both kids did great on the 3 hour to and 3 hour trip home. Our group picked over 860 pounds of apples and learned that an apple picker gets $25 per bin of 860 pounds of apples! That's a lot of work! And most experienced pickers pick up to 8 bins a day! Wowsers! We made apple cider using the cider press (manual process each apple) and took home a huge bag of Golden Delicious apples. There is nothing like an apple right off the tree! But in our frantic packing, forgot to bring the camera so we don't have pictures from this years trip. Bummer. Anywho, it was great fun!
