Haircut!

Today Colson got his first official haircut! (mom clipped his hair a bit for pictures, but this was a full fledged buzz.) He looks so cute! He's a little Brion! Ms. Vivian at Maddie's school brought her hair clippers with to school today and gave Cole a quick buzz. He looks so cute and so grown up...

Day 4

Day 4 with new puppy in the house has gone well. (knock on wood). Lucy is still getting used to being a big sister and Lilo is still trying to nip at Lucy's feet all the time. There's a lot of barking in our house lately! I am really impressed with this dog though.... she has yet to have an accident in the house, and goes to the door and whines when she wants to be let out! She comes when you call her and has been doing the 1 second back flip-she sees that you're bending over to pet her and she flips over to her back for you to rub her tummy. Colson is also still getting used to Lilo jumping up when he's the swing-she thinks its fun until she catches his toes! hee hee.

Madness

ok, ok. Many of you have questioned our sanity on getting a new puppy while having an infant. To those of you reading this-you are correct-not sure we're all there. Day three of life with Lilo has been nutty to say the least! Cole was crying and hungry, Lucy was growling and running away from Lilo (Lucy is still getting used to her), Maddie was crying because she wanted to watch "Lilo and Stitch" instead of taking care of her Lilo, the phone was ringing AND the ceramic cooktop on our 2 year old stove cracked all the way up the middle for no reason. Did I mention that Lilo has been "sizing up", in other words, chewing on every single thing in our house? At least she hasn't had one accident in the house! (yet). Wow, the things we do for love of animals. hee hee.

Introducing the newest member of our family...

Lilo! She is a 10 week old Blue Heeler/Australian Cattledog pup from the N.O.A.H. Shelter near Marysville. After reading on NOAH's webpage that there was a litter of these little pups, we all hopped into the car and made the trek up North. The people at NOAH were so nice and let us be the first ones in to look at the pups. We were instantly drawn to Lilo. We had her meet Lucy, that went well, and we were set! She had a good first night at home... crying a bit, but has yet to have an accident in the house! She cries for us to let her out! And last night I closed the screen door when I took her out, she did her business and then opened the screen door to let us both in. Lilo went right up to the entry of the door, and used her paw to test to make sure I truly opened the screen! Smart pup! She also already knows her new name-after one day! She loves to "try" to place with Lucy... Lucy is still getting used to this pup, but her tail is constantly wagging with happiness, and the depression symptoms we had been seeing in Lucy have all but disappeared! No crying in the night, no accidents in the house (yet) and Lucy always is looking out for the pup. Lilo is especially near and dear to our heart as she has the wirey hair and darker "stripe" down her back-just like Desi did, and peels the green off of tennis balls and chews on logs-just like Arlo. We are lucky to have found her!

Uncle Kevin likes baby bottles!

Here is a picture of Cole and Kevin drinking from their favorite bottles! Cole was very pleased as Uncle Kevin fed him his pears and a bottle that night! Way to go, Uncle!
