Lucy and Lilo curled up together...

The back wall is up!

A closeup of the back wall.

Another pic of the back wall.

A picture showing the beige I picked for the walls. It is darker than it looks in the picture.

And while I still have enough mortar to finish the shower and start the floor I don't have enough spacers!!! Grrrr... And, of course, nowhere to buy spacers at 1:30 in the morning.

Bathroom Remodel-Day 12

Last night I put the new shower hardware on the concrete wall - Meg, I hope you like it? It should match the new lights much better. The sink will also match this color and style.

Today I put another coat of mud on the drywall - another coat or two and it will be ready for priming. After I finished mudding I sketched out the location of the tiles, put up the batten board (to lay the 1st row of tiles), picked the tiles for the tub surround and then put sealer on the tiles.

Picking the tiles took a long time - every box has several different colors and it took me over an hour of pulling tiles, laying htem down, and re-arranging them on the floor until I found a pattern that I hope Meg will think looks good. Pics below...

New shower fixtures...

Batten board installed and 3 sample tiles (not sealed yet) up...

Bathroom Remodel - Day 11

Dad flew into town to help with the remodel and we were able to get lots done over the weekend. We replaced all the plumbing for the shower fixtures, replaced and wired the new exhaust fan/light, put up all all remaining backerboard and drywall, and started the mudding.

Dad with the plumbing we just ripped out of the wall.
This was in the wall 5 minutes ago.
Voila! The plumbing is back in!
Pic of the fan being installed. Notice the custom framing we had to build.
Another picture of the fan shroud being installed.
And the gaping hole in the ceiling next to the fan has been filled with sheetrock and given the first coat of mud.

And all the walls are enclosed and have one or two coats of mud, the light is installed, and there are new light switches and outlet.
