January has been very busy thus far. Maddie has been attending birthday parties every weekend and has gone through the first of her friend "troubles". Her friends at one of the parties were talking about how they each have a train set. But Maddie doesn't have one, so they started to "make fun" of her because of that. As you know, she's very sensitive, so this was quite tramatic. So much so, that she didn't want to go to school this past Tuesday because she said no one is her friend. After some coaxing, she went to school and ended up having a pretty good day. Yesterday was better when one of the girls who "teased" her asked Maddie to sit by her at snack. I'm crossing my fingers for an even better day today. Was it really that tramatic for her or for her mom? (who wanted to run out and buy her a train set, but didn't.) Ah... it's starting already.
Today is Colson's doctor appt. I'm hoping that as he gets older, there will be different options for him in terms of his allergies. We're going to take him to an allergist as well, to see what advice they might have. He's now crawling and getting to a sitting position from laying down. He LOVES his Tonka truck and spends a lot of time paging through books. He's been eating a ton, and has started to pick up food on his own and eat. He's also drinking from a sippy cup, although he refuses to drink formula from a sippy cup-these must be from a bottle. hee hee. Still no teeth-my little gummy bear.
