First Trip

We made our first trip to the State Fair yesterday and enjoyed pronto pups, mini doughnuts, cheese curds, lefse, and other fair foods. Brion and I will be going back soon! The weather has been very nice... so far so good!

Getting ready and all that jazz...

We've been getting ready today for our trip on Thursday to Minnesota. Maddie is very excited and has asked to pack virtually every dress she owns. Cole has no preference except we must bring his 'blankie". We are all very excited to get away (right into the hot and humid Mn weather), but mama is SUPER excited for this years State Fair trip! Some of the new foods on a stick are buffalo chicken bites on a stick with cream cheese dip, Coca-cola cheesecake covered in chocolate on a stick, batter dipped deep fried fruit on a stick, spam and cheese deep fried on a stick (its Minnesota, ya know), and butterscotch cake on a stick. Boy, not Weight Watchers friendly... good thing it only comes around once a year! :)

Hectic weekend

We had a fun-filled hectic weekend! The weather was so-so, it seems as if Seattle has sprung into fall already, and we went in search of a new range. I think we found the one we want, but now its a 10 day wait until Lowe's gets it into stock and then gets it delivered. We'll have to go and look at it again to see if that's really what we want. (I hope so as not having a stove top to cook on is very difficult! :)
We went to Brion's work picnic yesterday and the kids had a blast! Maddie got to go into 2 jumpy castles, play soccer, play on a playground and eat lots of good food. It was fun to see everyone that Brion works with again. The next few days will be spent packing, cleaning and getting ready for our Mn trip!
