Lilo! She is a 10 week old Blue Heeler/Australian Cattledog pup from the N.O.A.H. Shelter near Marysville. After reading on NOAH's webpage that there was a litter of these little pups, we all hopped into the car and made the trek up North. The people at NOAH were so nice and let us be the first ones in to look at the pups. We were instantly drawn to Lilo. We had her meet Lucy, that went well, and we were set! She had a good first night at home... crying a bit, but has yet to have an accident in the house! She cries for us to let her out! And last night I closed the screen door when I took her out, she did her business and then opened the screen door to let us both in. Lilo went right up to the entry of the door, and used her paw to test to make sure I truly opened the screen! Smart pup! She also already knows her new name-after one day! She loves to "try" to place with Lucy... Lucy is still getting used to this pup, but her tail is constantly wagging with happiness, and the depression symptoms we had been seeing in Lucy have all but disappeared! No crying in the night, no accidents in the house (yet) and Lucy always is looking out for the pup. Lilo is especially near and dear to our heart as she has the wirey hair and darker "stripe" down her back-just like Desi did, and peels the green off of tennis balls and chews on logs-just like Arlo. We are lucky to have found her!
